1. I couldn't make myself do anything after work yesterday. I was sitting at my desk at about 2 o'clock and the more I thought about my workouts the more I didn't want to do them. My plan was to go to Wilson and swim 3200 meters, then meet up with the DC Tri Club at Wilson's track for some speed work. I felt way too tired / lazy and decided to just walk home instead. By the time I got home it really started to rain and my front door key wasn't working at all! I sat out in the rain just waiting for Jason to get home. Luckily my neighbors got home around 5 and they have a spare key to our house and it worked! So after a half hour of standing around in the rain I was finally able to get into my house and take a nap! I guess this is karma for skipping my workouts. Next time I am feeling this lazy, please someone give me a swift kick in the butt and make me go workout! I never feel tired once I start a workout, it's just hard forcing myself to go sometimes.
2. My parents will be visiting my aunt in Fredericksburg this weekend. Even though I wouldn't be able to drive down there on sat due to packet pick up and bike/helmet inspection in Colombia MD, I will still get to see them :) After the race on Sunday we are planning to meet them in Hagerstown, MD. This is only an hour from the race and on my parents way home. I guess I will be smelly for lunch, but who cares.
3. I can't remember the last time I slept in??? I have been getting up at 5 or 6 on the weekends to get my runs or rides in and this weekend is no difference. I can't wait for a weekend where I can sleep till 9 or 10 and not have to worry about anything besides being lazy and eating ice cream.
Happy Thurs All!
I like scheduling a swim for Sunday so I can sleep in (the pool doesn't open until 10:30). Maybe you can take Saturday before next Sunday's tri?
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday! Ahhh, I can't believe our sprint tris are only about a week away. (Even though we aren't doing the same tri anymore, we can still be tri day buddies, right??;).
ReplyDeleteThis weekend isn't crazy hot, so maybe you can sleep in?
