1. Just when I thought I might be done spending money on cycling, I finally purchased a bike trainer off of amazon. I went with the CycleOps Fuild 2. Having no clue really want trainer to buy I left all the leg work up to my M and let him order whichever one he thought was best and just for kicks we ordered a climbing block as well. Both were delivered yesterday which meant I got to test them out this morning! Now don't get me wrong I would much rather be riding outside, but to get in any miles I have to leave my house at 5:40ish and it's just way to dark now.
2. Yesterday I just had one of those runs that felt like I have never ran in my life?!?! I don't know what was going on, but it was one of those days. I struggled big time to even finish 5 miles. I seriously questioned myself during this run and wanted to walk so many times. I think the only thing that prevented me from not walking was the fact that if I walked I would be late for work. And I'm always late for work, so I didn't want to be later than I usually am. Sometimes, having to be somewhere and running on time crunch is a good motivational factor for me. Regardless, I finished the run somewhat discouraged. I know every workout does not always go as planned, but it's still frustrating. Better luck next time I suppose.
3. After work yesterday, I squeezed in a ride at Haines then headed over to the American Ice Company on U st for a friends 30th! It was a cool place with a nice out door area and a neat decor inside. There was lots of good food, drinks, and shenanigans for the night. I had so much fun and wished it was a weekend night so I could have stayed later (I'm a grandma and need my sleep.)
Having a great time |
Clearly when you turn 30 you need a mustdashe! |
Happy Thurs All
I'm glad you can get back to morning riding even though it's inside! Maybe you need something more distracting to watch on TV?
ReplyDeleteHate to tell you, but the trainer never gets any better. But you'll be glad you have it when it's too damn cold or snowy to ride outside :)
